Our story
Meet Elana, Founder of namaSTAY Training: A Story of Transformation
At just 19 years old, Elana's journey with her beloved pup, Buddha, began. Adopting him at the tender age of 4 weeks, she was captivated by his sweetness and charm. However, as Buddha matured, so did his aggression, leading to distressing incidents of biting and drawn blood.
Faced with the challenge of Buddha's aggression, Elana refused to give up on her furry friend. Despite being told by multiple trainers and vets that Buddha was too aggressive and should be put down, she remained unwavering in her commitment to Buddha. Fueled by love and determination, she embarked on a quest for knowledge, immersing herself in research on canine behavior and seeking guidance from a mentor specializing in military dog training.
Through tireless dedication and guidance, Elana witnessed a remarkable transformation in Buddha's behavior. Their bond deepened, and Buddha's aggression gradually gave way to a more balanced and peaceful demeanor.
Elana's experience with Buddha inspired her to found namaSTAY Training with a mission to prevent dogs in Broward County and Palm Beach County from being surrendered to shelters or euthanized due to behavioral issues. From leash pulling to aggression and separation anxiety, Elana believes that every dog has the potential to become a harmonious companion with the right training and support.
